Start Quick Support and read out the code
Your helper sends you a link. You start the file, read out six digits and click "Erlauben" (Allow). Nothing is installed.

What it is for
Someone wants to help you with your computer. There is no BrowserDesk on your computer yet. Then the helper sends you a link. You download a file, start it and read six digits out to the helper. Before he sees anything, your computer asks you. Nothing is installed.
What you need
- A Windows computer with internet.
- The link from your helper.
- A helper you know. You asked him for help yourself.
How to do it
- Open the link. The file BrowserDesk-Schnellhilfe.exe is downloaded.
- Start the file, for example with a double click in your downloads folder.
- A small window opens: BrowserDesk Schnellhilfe (BrowserDesk Quick Support). Under Ihr Code für den Helfer (Your code for the helper) there are six digits. Below it says "Bereit. …" (Ready. …).
- Read the six digits out to the helper.
- Right after that the question Zugriff erlauben? (Allow access?) appears with the helper's name and "per Schnellcode" (by quick code). - Is it your helper? Then click Erlauben (Allow). - Is it someone else? Then click Ablehnen (Deny).
- Now the helper sees your screen. Leave the Quick Support window open.
- When the help is done, click Trennen und beenden (Disconnect and quit). The program closes.
How you know it worked
The Quick Support window says "Verbunden mit … Sie sehen am Bildschirmrand, dass jemand zusieht." (Connected with … You can see at the edge of the screen that someone is watching.) And the button is now called Trennen und beenden.
What the other side sees
The helper sees your screen and can use mouse and keyboard. He cannot open a command line on your computer through Quick Support.
Good to know
- The code is valid for 5 minutes and only once. Below it you see how much longer. After that a new one comes by itself. Neuer Code (New code) gets one at once.
- The code alone lets nobody in. You still have to click Erlauben.
- Nothing is installed. After Trennen und beenden your computer can no longer be reached through Quick Support. It does not start again by itself. You can delete the file afterwards.
- Please do not rename it. If the file is no longer called "…Schnellhilfe…", the full program starts and installs itself.

If it does not work
