What it is for
Your company wants to use BrowserDesk without running a server of its own. With cloud via browserdesk.de you get your own access at <name>.browserdesk.de. You choose the name when ordering, pay online and set up the access via a link from the e-mail — then your devices join.
What you need
- A business, public authority or association (paid licences are only for these).
- The number of devices and the number of technicians working at the same time (A1).
- A payment method offered by Stripe — such as card, PayPal or Apple Pay.
How to do it
- Open browserdesk.de/en/preise/?modell=cloud — or Choose cloud on /en/preise/.
- Under For which access? leave New access selected and type your preferred name under Name of your new access: 3 to 40 characters, lower-case letters, digits and hyphens. "Praxis Müller" becomes
praxis-mueller. Below the field you see straight away whether the name is available. - Enter How many devices do you look after? and How many technicians work at the same time?. The calculator shows both billing methods and takes the cheaper one.
- If you like: under Features Control room or Ticket system (per access and year), under Add-on modules per device Start center or Remote console with the number of devices (one-time).
- Click Continue to your details.
- In the step Who is ordering, and how will you pay? fill in company, contact person, e-mail address and postal address, and set the ticks I am ordering for a business, public authority or association. and the acceptance of the licence agreement.
- Under How would you like to pay? choose Pay online and click Place binding order and pay.
- You are taken to Stripe. There you see the amount including VAT and pay.
- Stripe sends you back to What happens now: "Payment received — order …".
- Open the e-mail "BrowserDesk — set up the access for your cloud licence" and click Set up access →. The link is valid for 7 days.
- On Set up your access your name is already fixed. Enter Username, Password, Repeat password and the Access password for your devices — a different one from your password, because it is given to every device. Then Create access.
- Add devices: install BrowserDesk, in the program under Einstellungen (Settings) → Fernzugriff (Remote access) enter the ID and the access password (leave the user empty), Beitreten (Join), then Dieses Gerät hinzufügen (Add this device). Many devices at once: C3.
How you know it worked
- Two e-mails: "BrowserDesk — payment received, order …" — this is your order confirmation, it concludes the contract — and the e-mail with the set-up link.
- After Create access the page shows Done with address, username and ID for your devices; the e-mail "BrowserDesk — your access … is ready" follows.
- Sign in opens the management console at
https://<name>.browserdesk.de/admin(B1).
Good to know
- The name is reserved as soon as you order, and it cannot be changed later.
- Term 12 months, paid in advance, no automatic renewal (A7).
- You can change the access password later in the management console. It is never sent by e-mail, and neither is your password.
- One order can hold several items (Add another licence); a cloud licence applies to exactly one access.
- More devices or longer for an access you already have: choose Existing access, enter its name and the new total. After payment we check that the access belongs to you, activate it and send "BrowserDesk — your cloud licence for … is active" (A7).
- Prefer an invoice? A4. Just a quote? Just request a quote by email.
If it does not work
| You see | Meaning and fix |
|---|---|
| "✗ …" below the name field | The name is taken or not allowed; the reason is shown. Choose another one. |
| "Payment cancelled — nothing has been ordered. …" | You cancelled at Stripe. Your details are still there; order again, on invoice as well. |
| "The payment did not go through" | The payment failed or the payment page expired. Nothing has been ordered — try again or order on invoice. |
| "Payment being confirmed — order …" | Your payment is on its way (for example a direct debit). The order confirmation follows once it is confirmed. |
| "Payment not confirmed yet" | Stripe has not reported the payment yet. You will get an e-mail once it has arrived — do not order again. |
| E-mail "BrowserDesk — payment failed, order …" | A delayed payment failed; the order did not come about. Order again via Order again → in the e-mail. |
| "Online payment is only possible from … — this order goes on invoice." | The amount is below Stripe's minimum. The page switches to On invoice by itself (A4). |
| "Online payment cannot be reached right now. …" | Try again later or order on invoice. |
| Set-up link expired | The link is valid for 7 days. Write to info@browserdesk.de with your order number. |
