Read the console overview — tiles, needs attention, cards
The console's start page shows at a glance how many devices are online, what is running and what you need to take care of. Every number takes you to the matching list with one click.

What it is for
After signing in, the console shows the Overview: tiles with numbers at the top, below them Needs attention — what is waiting for you — and four cards with the latest devices, sessions and runs. Every number and every row takes you to the matching list with one click.
What you need
- A console account. Every account only sees the accesses it is enabled for; the console calls the access "tenant".
How to do it
- In the console: StartOverview (this is also the start page after signing in).
- Tiles at the top — one click opens the matching view:
| Tile | What it counts | |---|---| | Tenants | accesses you can see | | Devices in total | all devices in these accesses | | Online | devices connected right now | | Active sessions | sessions still running | | Open alerts | alerts not yet dealt with — red as soon as one is open (G12) | | Licence | used and allowed devices of the relay's licence and its kind: "licensed", "trial" (yellow), "grace", "expired" or "free tier" (red) |
- Needs attention — only rows with a number above zero appear: - Devices rejected at registration (24 h) — expands the list with reason and next step (G20). - Devices refused by the licence (24 h) — the relay's licence is not enough. - Four-eyes approvals — access to critical devices is waiting for your approval. - Device approvals (certificate) — devices without a certificate are waiting for approval (own relay). - Approve ad bookings and Orders — only for the operator of a relay.
If it says Nothing open — all done., there is nothing to do.
- Cards at the bottom — up to 20 rows each; one click opens the entry: - Last seen — devices by their latest report, button Devices to the full list. - Latest sessions — button Sessions. - Latest runs — script runs, button Runs. - Upcoming runs — scheduled workflows in the next 7 days, button Workflow runs.
How you know it worked
- The tiles show numbers, the cards show rows with "… min ago" instead of clock times.
- Clicking a tile opens the matching list; clicking a row opens the device or entry.
Good to know
- Needs attention by rights: a row your account may not see is silently left out. A technician therefore sees fewer rows than an administrator.
- Online is not Devices in total: a device that is asleep or being rejected only counts under devices. Rejected devices are listed under Needs attention (G20).
- Empty console: if there is no device yet, it says Welcome to BrowserDesk with the steps Create tenant and Connect device. As administrator of an access you may not create an access — yours already exists. Add a device instead (C2).
- More about the console layout and searching with Ctrl+K: B1, G1.
If it does not work
| You see | Meaning and remedy |
|---|---|
| "Devices could not be loaded." (or "Sessions …", "Runs …", "Upcoming runs could not be loaded.") in a card | The relay did not answer the query. Reload the page; if it persists, inform the relay's operator and collect logs. |
| Upcoming runs: "No active schedule in the next 7 days." | No workflow has a schedule this week (G8). |
| The tile Licence is red | The relay's licence has expired, is in its grace period, or the relay runs without a licence. Renew or install the licence (A5, A7). |
| The tile Licence stays empty | Your account may not read the licence status, or it could not be loaded. |
