What it is for

Your purchasing department or your data protection officer needs documents before BrowserDesk is used. This page says where you find which evidence and what you have to request.

What you need

  • A browser. The texts are public on browserdesk.de.
  • For the data processing agreement: an e-mail to info@browserdesk.de.

How to do it

EvidenceWhereNote
Data processing agreement (DPA, Art. 28 GDPR)/en/dpa.htmlApplies as soon as you request it in text form and we confirm — an e-mail is enough. On request we also sign it.

Conclude the data processing agreement

  1. Read /en/dpa.html.
  2. Write to info@browserdesk.de that you want to conclude the agreement — with company and access.
  3. It applies with our confirmation. If you want a signed copy, say so in the e-mail.

View third-party licences

  • In the program: EinstellungenAllgemein (Settings > General) → card Rechtliches (Legal) → next to "Open-Source-Lizenzen" (open-source licences) click Anzeigen (Show). The licence agreement is there too, with Im Browser öffnen (Open in browser).
  • In the relay: the package, the Windows installation and the Docker image contain the file LIZENZEN-DRITTER.txt.

Software bill of materials and security check

For every version a software bill of materials (SBOM in CycloneDX format) and a check for known vulnerabilities are produced. There is no public download for them on the website. Ask for them for your version at info@browserdesk.de.

How you know it worked

  • DPA: our confirmation by e-mail.
  • For your records: the privacy notice and the DPA state their date at the top. Note it down.

Good to know

  • Date of the texts: the privacy notice and the DPA state their date at the top. If we change sub-processors, we announce it beforehand as the DPA says.
  • Own relay: the data stays on your systems. Only our update feed remains reachable. For your own documentation B9 helps.
  • Your organisation's questionnaire: according to the DPA we answer a questionnaire on the measures on request.
  • What BrowserDesk stores and who sees what — in plain language: F10.
