What it is for
You want to keep what you are seeing — for a ticket, a guide or a question to a vendor. The screenshot takes the device's picture itself, without your session bar and without overlays.
What you need
- A running session with a picture.
- BrowserDesk on a computer, phone or tablet — or web access.
How to do it
Program on a computer:
- Open the menu Ansicht (View) in the session bar.
- Choose Bildschirmfoto (Screenshot).
- The picture is then in your Downloads folder and also on the clipboard — ready to paste into an e-mail or a ticket.
Phone or tablet: Ansicht → Bildschirmfoto. The share sheet opens.
Browser: Ansicht → Bildschirmfoto speichern (Save screenshot). The browser downloads the PNG.
The file name contains device, date and time, for example BrowserDesk_<device>_2026-10-11_14-30-05.png.
How you know it worked
A notice names the location: "Bildschirmfoto gespeichert und in der Zwischenablage: …" (saved and on the clipboard) or "Bildschirmfoto gespeichert: …" (saved).
What the other side sees
Nothing. The screenshot is made on your side.
Good to know
- It captures the device's picture, not your screen: session bar, chat and analysis overlay are not included.
- Attach to a ticket (browser): if the session has a ticket number, the bar also has the camera button "Screenshot ans Ticket dieser Sitzung hängen" (attach screenshot to this session's ticket).
If it does not work
