See and switch which features your access has
One tab shows per feature whether it is active, booked but off, not booked or not available — with reason, source and seats. You switch booked features on and off there yourself.

What it is for
Which features your access has depends on the model: Free, Cloud or your own relay with a licence. The tab Features shows this in one place — per feature its state, the reason and where it comes from. Booked features such as control room or ticket system can be switched on and off there for your access. In the console an access is called tenant.
What you need
- A sign-in to the console with the role Tenant administrator or higher.
How to do it
- Open Tenants in the sidebar and double-click your access (Edit tenant).
- Choose the tab Features.
- At the very top it says which model applies — for example "Plan: …" or "Own relay — this relay's license applies." — and next to it the counts per state.
- The table has one row per feature with the columns Feature, Status, Billing, Source, Seats and switches and Change.
The states
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| active | The feature works on your devices. |
| booked, but off | Paid or in the licence, but switched off for your access. |
| not booked | Exists in your model but was not bought. The reason is shown below. |
| not available | Does not exist in your model — for example the inventory in the Cloud. |
Below the status the reason is given in one sentence — the same sentence a device gets when it is refused.
Switch a booked feature on or off
- In the feature's row click Turn off or Turn on in the column Change.
- Confirm the question. Switching off changes nothing about what is paid; you can switch on again at any time.
This switch exists for the ticket system, the control room and — on your own relay — the extended inventory.
Try the control room for 10 days (paid Cloud)
In the control room row click Try for 10 days. The trial is available only once per access.
Buy a feature
- Cloud: on the prices page under Prices. Control room and ticket system are booked per access and year, start center and remote console as add-on module once per device (A6).
- Own relay: booking happens via the licence file. The system administrator finds Buy more and Try for 10 days per feature under Licenses → Functions of the licence.
How you know it worked
- The row shows active.
- In the device list the column Licence shows per device the features start center, remote console, tickets, control room, inventory and USB redirection: filled = active, dashed = free – taken on first use, struck through = not active. The reason is in the tooltip.
- On the device the lock on the menu item for the control room or tickets disappears. The relay reports the change to connected devices immediately.
Good to know
- The console calculates nothing. Status, reason, seats and which buttons appear are decided by the relay — with the same check as on the devices.
- Free has only the quick code among the Cloud services out of the box (on browserdesk.de), no access without confirmation. Control room, tickets, inventory, recording, start center and remote console never exist for Free.
- Cloud: the extended inventory only exists with your own relay. Control room and ticket system are separate features per access; USB redirection is included in the paid Cloud.
- Own relay: the trial applies to the whole relay, not just one access, and is available only once per feature and installation.
- Add-on modules (start center, remote console) have seats per device. The column Seats and switches shows purchased, used and free. Assigning and releasing: G24.
- Only the licensing office of browserdesk.de books and removes; you as administrator switch on and off.
If it does not work
| You see | Meaning and remedy |
|---|---|
| The tab Features is missing | The access has not been saved yet (new access) — save first, then reopen. |
| "Features could not be loaded." or a sentence about permission | Your role is below tenant administrator, or the access is not in your scope. |
| No buttons in the column Change | There is nothing for you to switch for this feature — for example it is not booked. The reason is below the status. |
| "Plan: … (term expired — Free applies)" | The Cloud plan has expired. Renew via Prices. |
| A device is refused despite active | For add-on modules: all seats are taken and this device has none (G24). Otherwise: the device has older software and learns about the booking only at its next sign-in. |
