Draw on the device's screen or point with the laser pointer

What it is for

"Click here" — and you show the spot without clicking yourself. With the laser pointer a red dot follows your mouse, with the pen you draw a red stroke around the spot. The person at the device sees it on their screen, you see it in the transmitted picture.

What you need

• A Windows device with BrowserDesk from version 20261010.21. Mac and Linux have no drawing layer.
• The control right in the session.
• Technician: BrowserDesk on a computer or web access. In the browser you draw with the mouse, not with a finger.

How to do it

1. Program: click the pen icon Zeichnen (Draw) in the session bar. Browser: menu Steuerung (Control) → selection "Zeichnen: …".
2. Choose a tool: - Laserpointer (browser: Zeichnen: Laserpointer) — the dot follows your mouse. - Stift (Pen; browser: Zeichnen: Stift) — draw with the mouse button held down.
3. Remove the drawing: Zeichnung löschen (Clear drawing).
4. Back to controlling: Wieder steuern (Zeichnen aus) (Control again — drawing off; browser: Zeichnen: aus (steuern)).

In the program the pen icon is red while drawing is on.

How you know it worked

You see the red dot or your strokes in the device's picture.

What the other side sees

• Red strokes and a red dot with a white rim above all windows (F15).
• The laser dot disappears 1.5 seconds after the last movement.
• The drawing only lies on top: the person at the device can keep clicking as usual.
• When the last connection ends, everything disappears.

Good to know

• In drawing mode no input reaches the device. Your mouse only draws. If "nothing happens", the pen is still on.
• At the sign-in or lock screen and in the Windows User Account Control dialog there is no drawing layer.
• Very long drawings are limited: the oldest strokes drop out.
