"A device dropped out of the access"

What it is for

A computer belonged to your access. Now it is offline in the console although it is running, or it can no longer be reached through the access. On the computer itself the line "Zugang: …" (access) is missing in the card Ihr Desktop (your desktop), or a notice appears there such as "Die Anmeldung am Zugang wurde abgelehnt — …" (the sign-in to the access was refused). The ID has stayed the same — only the sign-in to the access is missing.

What you need

• Access to the computer (on site or via ID and password).
• Your sign-in to the access or a one-time code (C2).

How to do it

1. What does the computer show? On the start page in the card Ihr Desktop:

1. Was BrowserDesk repaired, removed completely or reinstalled? This is the most common cause. The full uninstall and the repair with -FullWipe delete the data folder — and with it password, certificate and the sign-in to the access. The computer then comes back with the same ID, a new password and without an access (H18). A repair without this switch keeps the sign-in (since version 20260930.3).

1. Was a computer without the service moved to another access in the console? Up to version 20261011.24 such a computer (for example a Mac, or Windows/Linux without the background service) dropped out again about a day after the move. Fixed since 20261011.25 — update the computer.

1. Bring it back: join again. On the computer Einstellungen › Fernzugriff (Settings > Remote access) → card Zugang (access) → sign in and Beitreten (join), then Dieses Gerät hinzufügen (add this device) — or with a one-time code Mit Code hinzufügen (add with code) (C2). If the notice with Zugang beitreten is shown, the button leads straight there. On browserdesk.de this takes a seat.

1. Pass on the new password. If the computer came back with a new password (step 2), the old one no longer works. It is shown in the card Ihr Desktop; anyone connecting with ID and password needs the new one (D2).

1. The computer stays out? Collect the logs on the computer — they show which access the background service signs in to and why — and send them to info@browserdesk.de.

How you know it worked

• Ihr Desktop shows "Zugang: …" with your access below the ID.
• In the card Zugang the switch Dieses Gerät hinzufügen shows "Hinzugefügt — …" (added).
• The computer is online again in the console.

Good to know

• Nothing goes back automatically. Without proof no computer may enter an access. The relay does note in the log of the previous access that the computer signed in elsewhere without proof — but someone with access has to bring it back (C2).
• Before a repair save the logs (H19) — the repair deletes them.
